Backup & DR.
Tested. Restorable.

Designed, implemented, managed and tested. We're vendor-agnostic and pick the right tools for your stack - not the ones we resell. The only backup that matters is one you've actually restored from. So we drill yours.

✓  Vendor-agnostic · we pick the fit, not the kickback
✓  Implement, manage, support, drill - end to end
✓  Fixed-price scope · UK engineers · 24/7 incident response

What we cover

Eight layers.
Every byte that matters.

Backups aren't a product - they're a discipline. We protect everything you'd notice if it disappeared on Monday morning, on a 3-2-1 baseline with immutable off-site copies.

Email & collaboration
Mailboxes, calendars, contacts, shared inboxes, chat history, channels and the files attached to all of it.
Identity & access
Directory data, group memberships, conditional-access policies, MFA configuration. The thing that goes wrong first when ransomware lands.
Databases & line-of-business apps
Production databases, application data, finance systems, practice management, ERPs - whatever runs the business.
Files, shares & SharePoint
Network drives, document libraries, departmental shares, OneDrive/Drive content. Everything someone would notice missing on a Monday morning.
Servers & cloud workloads
Physical servers, virtual machines, containers, cloud instances - on-prem, IaaS, PaaS or a mix. Image-level or file-level, depending on the recovery story.
Endpoints
Laptops, desktops, point-of-sale, kiosks. The devices people actually work on - and lose, drop, leave in the back of taxis.
SaaS data
Productivity, CRM, marketing, finance, HR - hosted apps where the vendor protects the platform but not your data. We back up the data anyway.
Immutable & off-site
Air-gapped, immutable copies held off-site or in a second cloud region. Designed to survive a ransomware event your primary backup wouldn't.
What we do

Design. Implement. Manage. Drill.

End-to-end, or any single slice. Most clients take the lot as a fixed monthly fee; some bring in just the implementation, or the managed-DR layer over their existing kit.

Design & strategy
Map what needs protecting, where it lives, what 'good enough' looks like. Set RPO/RTO targets by tier, agreed with the business not invented by IT.
Implementation
Vendor-agnostic deployment to your environment. We pick the right tools for your stack, configure them properly, document the lot. No bespoke complexity for the sake of it.
Managed backup
Daily monitoring, job-failure investigation, capacity management, retention reviews. UK engineers, sub-30-minute response when something stops working.
Managed disaster recovery
Runbooks per system, contact trees, RTO clocks, secondary-site readiness. Tested. The plan you can actually run on the worst day of the year.
Restore drills
Quarterly restores against the real systems - not a tick-box. We surface gaps before they're emergencies and you get a signed-off drill report each time.
Incident response
When data loss or a ransomware event hits, we're the team on the call. Coordinated recovery, evidence preservation, regulator notifications where required.
Tier the systems

Set the targets the business agrees to.

Not every system needs to come back in an hour. The trick is agreeing which ones do - and pricing the rest accordingly. We set RPO (data-loss window) and RTO (recovery time) targets in tiers, signed off by the business, drilled to prove they hold.

TIER 1
Mission-critical
RPO
15 min – 1 h
RTO
1 – 2 h

If this goes down, the business stops earning. Email, identity, the core line-of-business app, the customer portal.

  • Continuous or near-continuous replication
  • Hot or warm secondary, ready to run
  • Drilled at least quarterly, often monthly
TIER 2
Important
RPO
4 h
RTO
4 – 8 h

Down for a working day is painful but survivable. Departmental shares, internal apps, secondary systems.

  • Hourly to four-hourly snapshots
  • Same-region restore from primary
  • Drilled half-yearly
TIER 3
Useful
RPO
24 h
RTO
1 – 3 days

Reporting, archive, project history. Things you'd want back eventually but the business survives without short-term.

  • Daily backup, longer retention
  • Restore on demand
  • Drilled annually
RPO and RTO are business decisions, not IT ones. The right RPO/RTO is the cost of recovery vs the cost of downtime - we run that conversation with the business owners, not just the IT team, so the numbers stick.
How we operate it

Plan it. Build it. Drill it.

The work doesn't stop at implementation. Most clients take backup & DR as an ongoing managed service - we operate it, drill it and report on it as a fixed monthly fee.

01
Plan
Audit current state, agree what's protected to what tier, set RPO/RTO targets with the business. Identify the gaps before they're emergencies.
02
Implement
Vendor-agnostic deployment to your stack. We pick the right tools for the job, configure them properly, document the lot - on-prem, cloud, hybrid or all three.
03
Operate
Daily monitoring, job-failure investigation, capacity reviews, retention pruning. UK engineers on the rota. A monthly posture report you can take to the board.
04
Drill
Quarterly restore drills against real systems. Signed-off drill reports. If a target slips, we fix it before the next quarter - or revise the target with the business.
Why UK businesses pick us

Vendor-agnostic. Drilled. Honest.

Vendor-agnostic
Not tied to any backup vendor. We pick the tool that fits your stack, your data residency and your budget - and we say so before we charge a penny.
Drills, not theory
A backup you've never restored from isn't a backup, it's a hope. We run real restore drills against your real systems - and we share the results, pass or fail.
Tiered, business-led
RPO and RTO targets agreed with the business, not invented by IT. The right cost of recovery for the right value of the data.
Immutable & off-site
Air-gapped, immutable copies designed to survive ransomware - not just disk failure. The bit that catches firms out when they need it.
Incident response
When data loss or ransomware hits, we're the team on the call. Coordinated recovery, evidence preservation, regulator notifications where required.
Regulator-ready
Audit-ready evidence: drill reports, retention proof, access logs. ISO 27001-aligned controls, GDPR/ICO ready, FCA where regulated.
FAQ

Questions we answer in the review.

Eight of the questions UK businesses ask before commissioning backup & DR.

We're vendor-agnostic. We pick the right tools for your stack, your data residency and your budget - and we tell you which in the review. We're not on a vendor's gold-partner programme, we don't take kickbacks, and we'll happily run on tools you already own if they're the right fit.
