SayhellotoEllis.
Ellis is our AI receptionist. He answers the main line and the website chat, has read every page of this site, works out what you need and hands you to an engineer with the details already taken.
We built him so our engineers stop taking sales calls and get on with client work. He is also the clearest demo we have of what we build for other people.
One question at a time. Numbers and emails read back digit by digit. A score and a note the engineer reads before ringing back. This one is scripted to his real playbook; Sarah and her firm are made up.
He works out who you are.
Then he does the right thing.
Every caller is classified silently and routed the way the team would route them. Clients get engineers, not a bot. Cold sales gets a polite no and never reaches anyone. Nobody is transferred, ever.
What Ellis does
- Answers questions about services, products and published prices from the site itself
- Works out who is calling: prospect, existing client, supplier, press, careers, cold sales
- Takes name, company, phone and email, reading contact details back digit by digit
- Routes existing clients to support and job seekers to careers, and declines vendors politely
- Scores prospects hot, warm or cold and writes a note the engineer reads before calling back
- Says "I don't know" and offers a human when the answer isn't on the site
What Ellis never does
- Invents a price, a client name, a certification or a capability we don't have
- Pretends to be a person, or claims to know the time, the day or where anyone is
- Transfers you into a queue, or promises a transfer he can't make
- Tries to fix a live support issue. Clients get engineers, not a bot
- Sells to you. He answers, qualifies and hands over. Humans do the rest
- Opens with "great question". Banned words list, enforced and graded
Not a chatbot.
An engineered system.
The first version was bad. It sounded like a form, invented reasons nobody was answering and read email addresses back in a loop. What fixed it was not a better prompt. It was evals, structured output, guardrails and a routing document, which is the same loop we run on every client build.

Take the repetitive work off people so they can do the work that needs them. Same pattern, same engineers, same evals and guardrails, pointed at whatever is eating your team's day.
Inbound calls and web chat that qualify, capture and route to the right person, in your voice, on your rules. Out of hours included.
New matter enquiries, candidate registrations, quote requests. The details taken properly first time and written straight into your CRM.
The repetitive front of a support, sales or admin queue handled by an agent that knows when to stop and hand to a human.
One workflow, live in production, in six weeks. An agent like Ellis fits inside it. Fixed scope, fixed price, four a quarter.
Agents, document AI, copilots and the integrations behind them. Scoped per project and quoted fixed before anything starts.
The ones people ask Ellis about Ellis.
Anything else, ask him. He'll admit it if he doesn't know.
No. Ellis is an AI, built and run by AssurePath. He'll tell you so if you ask, and he won't pretend otherwise. If you'd rather talk to a person, say so and he'll give you the route straight away: hello@assurepath.co.uk for new enquiries, support@assurepath.co.uk if you're already a client.
